Administrative Assistant - Early Intervention
We are seeking a detail-oriented person to perform administrative and data entry tasks as part of our Early Intervention team. We need a professional with strong computer, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Provides clerical support for all EI staff including scanning, faxing, electronic filing, forms maintenance and database reports reviews.

Utilizes the Brittco database for new referral profiles, Individualized Family Service Plans updates, program exits, reports and other specific functions.
-
Creates team meeting agenda and takes minutes for weekly team meetings.
-
Serves as back up to the Director for access to the Early Intervention Data System and the Grants Management System.
-
Works with providers to create materials such as books picture schedules, community resources list, etc.
-
Creates FSS authorizations and processes requests for reimbursement.
-
Provides coverage to other clerical positions within the agency including front desk phone coverage and building entry.

Accesses Imaginary Library through on-line database access/applications approval and completes special projects as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Associate Degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.

2 years’ experience working as an administrative assistant and/or office coordinator.

Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Valid driver’s license

Satisfactory comprehensive background checks pursuant to OAC 5123:2-2-02
LOCATION: BCBDD, 68421 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
HOURS: 40 hours per week; require flexibility; schedule may change.
COMPENSATION: The position is full-time and offers a benefits package that includes Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS); medical, dental, vision, life insurance; paid sick, vacation, and personal leave.

SSA ASSISTANT
We are seeking a detail-oriented person to perform administrative and data entry tasks as part of our Service and Support Administration team. We need a professional with strong computer, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides general clerical support and completes established SSA administrative processes and correspondence for the department

Assists with the Individual Support Plan and Special Team Meeting processes
-
Answers, screens and directs incoming calls for all assigned areas in a timely and professional manner
-
Enters and updates information on the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities’ website
-
Creates weekly SSA meeting agendas; documents meeting minutes for distribution
-
Completes demographic, funding and other data entry into the organization’s software
-
Reviews invoices and ensures proper billing; submits invoices for payment; enters information into the internal software program
-
Completes electronic filing
-
Reviews and follows up on reports
-
Completes and distributes internal reports determined by the SSA Director and Supervisor(s)

Completes and/or assists with required documentation for DODD assistance programs
-
Ensures overall efficiency of the office processes by recommending necessary improvements to procedures and systems
-
Completes “special projects” as requested
QUALIFICATIONS

The Harrison County Board of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a preschool intervention specialist to assist children with special education and social adjustment needs in classrooms and other settings. This position is teaching and preparing children for kindergarten. You will use various teaching methods and techniques like storytelling, games, music and art to teach kids basic social skills and learning concepts. You will design, execute and assess individualized programs based on various factors such as age, gender and cultural background.

Develop Individualized Educational Plans

Provide developmentally appropriate and differentiated instruction

Implement preschool curriculum and adhere to preschool licensing regulations

Ability to provide guidance and direction to paraprofessionals

Work effectively as a team member with related service providers, co-teachers, and paraprofessionals

Interact positively and professionally with students, families, and educators

Utilize positive behavior supports and interventions with students
