Major Unusual Incident and Provider Support Coordinator
The Belmont, Harrison, and Noble County Boards of Developmental Disabilities are collaboratively seeking a Major Unusual Incident and Provider Support Coordinator.
This position will work primarily from the Belmont office and serve as the primary point of service coordination for Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs), Unusual Incidents (UIs), and Provider Support. The coordinator ensures the health, safety, and welfare of individuals served by overseeing compliance with all MUI and UI requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing, processing, and documenting incidents; determining appropriate notifications and immediate actions; developing prevention plans; and ensuring timely submission and coordination with MEORC and other regulatory partners.
In addition to incident management, this role supports provider quality and compliance through technical assistance, annual training, and communication of rule updates. The coordinator assists with provider compliance reviews, accreditation preparation, and special projects to promote continuous improvement and the development of self-sustaining service providers. Acting as a liaison between the County Board and independent and agency providers, the MUI/Provider Support Coordinator fosters collaboration, accountability, and adherence to state and local standards to maintain high-quality, person-centered services.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively as a team player, and a talent for building strong professional relationships. Requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree, at least three years of experience with the DODD MUI/UI system, and extensive knowledge of the DODD service delivery system and provider compliance or equivalent experience in a state system performing comparable responsibilities. Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheet preparation, and database entry. Equivalent education or experience will be considered for candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge for the role.
The position is full-time and offers a benefits package. Compensation is based upon experience and education level.
